Hôtel de l'Élysée

The room was a little small, but the service more than made up for that. Gezela, Michael, Aliyah, Araci and Quentin were all welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We're almost at the end of our week here, and I have nothing but fabulous things to say. The location is close to shopping, the Eiffel and the Arc.

The corridors are a bit narrow, though that wasn't a major issue, and the room itself was decent. Every staff member was excellent, attentive, friendly, and ready to help. The location is especially handy for shopping. Breakfast service was a highlight: staff cheerfully brought coffee refills, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. The selection felt closer to Holiday Inn Express than what I'd expect from a four-star international chain, and may not suit Chinese tastes very well. I noticed some Chinese tourists bringing their own instant noodles. It was still a comfortable stay, with great staff and a prime location.

The street-facing room was extremely noisy and had a very strange layout. When I asked reception to send someone to check whether the windows were sealed properly, I waited more than 30 minutes and nobody came. Poor service and poor soundproofing. Avoid it if you want to sleep.

The breakfast was a real highlight: a lovely setting, a satisfying selection, and a very pleasant way to start the day. I also appreciated how quickly and kindly the staff dealt with a problem in my room, without making me feel bad about it. The hotel has a nice boutique, luxurious feel when you walk in, and a great location. It's a reliable option for the price, especially given where it is. Thanks to the staff for their attention and support. I really enjoyed my stay.
