I’ve already stayed at different du pré hotels, and this was a good stop before heading to Bruges. The staff were great, and both the room and breakfast were nice. It’s a 10-minute walk to gare du Nord and about 15 minutes to Gare de L'est. St Lazare is around 16 minutes on foot, or less by public transport. I’d recommend it.

The room was clean and quiet, and the reception team were friendly. It’s a decent place for a few nights, with Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est both within a 15-minute walk. Breakfast let it down, though. My croissant was stale, and I couldn’t finish it.

Most of the service was fine, and the rooms have basic things like a kettle, towels, and soap. There was no complimentary water, though, and they didn’t replace the tea during my stay. On the last night, the porter was rude, then at checkout insisted I owed more than we’d agreed. I had to ask a manager to bring the price down, all while I was waiting to leave for the airport. I didn’t eat breakfast there. The hotel is near Gard du Nord.
