Hotel Eiffel Capitol

You’re only a five minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and the metro, with decent cafes and local restaurants close by. That’s definitely the hotel’s strong point. For the price, though, I was a bit disappointed. The beds were quite firm, there was no thermostat in our room, cleanliness was average, and parts of the building were peeling. It was an adequate stay if those things don’t bother you, but it felt a little pricey for what you get.

The manager handled the misunderstanding with real professionalism and gave us a solution that helped. My issue was with the front desk staff member, who came across as unfriendly and showed negative body language, even though I don’t really understand French. A simple smile would have been enough. If I come back to Paris, I won’t stay here. That may not affect the business, but I hope this helps other visitors consider different options.

Everything is within walking distance, and the location is great. The room itself was basic, small, and only moderately neat. For what we paid, I expected a bit more, and I didn’t appreciate the rude reception staff.

They emailed us a couple of days before our trip to say we could leave our luggage for free if we arrived before check-in, so we could head out and enjoy the city. We really appreciated that. The staff were very nice, and the area felt safe even walking back from the Eiffel Tower at night. You can’t see the tower from the hotel, but it’s close enough to reach on foot. We enjoyed our stay.
