Hotel Family Residence

I've stayed here a couple of times, and the area feels very safe. There's an elementary school and a high school diagonally across the street, so there can be lots of kids around at times. On rue Fondary, the hotel is convenient for shops and Metro lines 6 and 10. The rooms are very small, but having a kitchen in each one is a tremendous advantage for budget minded travelers.

The rooms were quiet, and having a TV and fast internet made it easy to plan my days. There was also a small kitchen for preparing some meals. It was perfect for my Paris trip, though be aware that it gets really hot during a Paris heatwave.

Dupleix metro is close by, and the location was very good for shops and cafes. The Eiffel Tower is a good 15-minute walk away, though it doesn't feel that far. The room is very basic, but it's all you need for a base when you're rarely there. I would have liked a toaster and kettle to round it out. Disney parks are an hour by train.

The staff were super friendly and helped us with a couple of typical tourist problems, like a missing blow-dryer and needing a printer for tickets. The room was clean and big enough for two adults, with a small but well-equipped kitchen. It's not set up for a three-course menu, but there's enough to make a good pasta dish. The bathroom, though, was quite tiny and made showering uncomfortable. The Residence is in the heart of a safe, clean area in arrond. 15. Carrefour and Franprix supermarkets are just around the corner. Dupleix and Avenue Zola metro stations are within walking distance, and the Eiffel Tower is about 10-15 minutes away on foot.
