Hotel Indigo Paris Opera

The location is great, but the hotel itself is a mess. It’s been under construction or renovation for a while. After we reserved, we were told our two-bedroom suite would be unavailable because it was supposed to be renovated. Then it turned out to be available after all, so we were given that suite, which was still slated for renovation. The bathrooms smell of mildew. The showers work, but screech whenever you use them, and only one of the two has hot water. The TV in a two-bedroom “suite” is about the size of a computer monitor. They leave a bottle of cleaner out beside the food in the room and call it “ready.” There’s no working bathroom in the lobby. Instead, staff take you to a room on a floor under renovation, where the lights don’t work because you aren’t given a card to activate them. Only one of the two elevators works for guests. And the room Wi-Fi only lets you connect one device, using your reservation room and name to authenticate.

The location made it easy to walk to Palais Garnier, Louvre museum, and lots of good restaurants and Cafe. We had a smooth check-in and got a nice upgrade as IHG members. Every group of staff we dealt with, from the front desk and restaurant to the cleaning team, was friendly and attentive. Breakfast didn’t have a huge range of choices, but everything I tried was good. I really enjoyed the stay from beginning to end and would definitely come back.

We spent five nights there with our family in March 2025, and even though this review is late, I really wanted to leave one. There was a problem with our reservation, but the manager, a very kind woman whose name I can’t remember, sorted it out and upgraded us to a suite. She personally brought champagne and macaroons to the room as a welcome gift. Whenever something came up, a member of management quickly came to fix it. The hotel and its staff made our first family trip to Paris really enjoyable and memorable. I have great memories of our stay and would definitely stay there again. The staff went out of their way for a special request, then did even more than we’d asked. They were also extremely helpful arranging our airport transportation. My wife and I ended our European vacation here, and it was a great hotel. The location was perfect, with plenty of shops and transport options nearby for getting to landmarks quickly. We highly recommend Hotel Indigo Paris -Opera and really appreciate the amazing staff.
