Hôtel Le Monna Lisa by Inwood Hotels

I liked the roomy, pleasant room, and they left us a note and sweets on arrival. I was sick during my stay, so it was a relief not having to worry about things at the hotel. Rooms are cleaned every day, though sometimes not as thoroughly as I’d like. It’s possible I returned before the cleaner had finished and refilled the water. Room service runs until 11:00pm, and I ordered around 10:30pm. The card said delivery could take up to 30 minutes, but the food arrived closer to 12:00mn. They apologized and refunded me for the delay, which I appreciated. There are lots of places nearby, and I have no complaints about that. The street gets busy during the day but quiets down at night, and I always felt safe walking alone. I took one point off because check-in and checkout both took a long time. The staff seemed like they could use a bit more training, and with only one elevator, you sometimes have to wait.

The hotel’s location just off the Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe was great, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Louise and Christlaure were warm and genuine when they checked me in, which immediately put a smile on my face. My room was ready on time and looked just like it did on the hotel's website: classic, comfortable, and very clean. I’d definitely come back to the Hotel Mona Lisa by Inwood Hotels and recommend it to friends and family. Well done.

The staff were repeatedly rude and unhelpful, with no sense of hospitality or professionalism. Their attitude made the stay stressful and uncomfortable instead of welcoming. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a pleasant experience. I understand safety rules and occupancy limits, and never meant to ignore them. My concern is how the situation was handled. When I arrived, I paid for an extra room immediately after learning it was required, but we were still threatened with a call to the police. At checkout, I was only about 30 minutes late, and again they threatened to call the police. These situations could have been dealt with through clearer communication and without intimidation. Other hotels on the same trip explained similar policies calmly and in a friendly way, then simply charged the appropriate extra fees. I hope this feedback helps improve how such situations are handled so guests can feel respected even when rules have to be enforced.

The team is so friendly, and they always make the stay feel comfortable and charming. We’ve stayed at the lovely Monna Lisa by Inwood Hotel for the sixth time over what must be about ten years, and we’re planning to come back next year. It’s a really nice boutique-style place, with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. We keep choosing executive rooms, and some have a lovely little balcony. Breakfast isn’t huge, but we’ve always found everything we wanted.
