Maison Souquet, Hotel & Spa

We arrived to a delicious drink, a tour of the property, and our bags taken up to the room. I was in awe from the start. I’d wanted a romantic night at Maison Souquet with my husband, and that’s exactly what we got. The place is gorgeous and intricately decorated, with the luxurious, sensual, romantic feel we had in mind. The staff go above and beyond to make it special. My only regret is booking just one night. Can’t wait to return!

Angélique, the general manager, greeted us and had arranged a wedding anniversary surprise. As we headed out for our photoshoot, she suggested taking a red rose, and that gifted rose became the main character! The personal care continued with all the staff, who knew the area and hotel well and anticipated what we needed. The location is exceptional, a two-minute walk from the Moulin Rouge but away from the tourists and crowds. Turning left from the hotel, we easily came across Parisian cafes and restaurants, and Place du Tertre. Turning right brought us to Palais Garnier. It feels close to everything without being stuck in tourist traps. The interior is full of history and art, and the design is incredible and luxurious as soon as you arrive. Our room matched the rest, was well stocked and looked after, with fresh towels and toiletries always available. Turn-down service was welcome after days of exploring. The spa was luxury at its finest, with a private hour to relax. We’ll definitely be back. Merci Beaucoup ❤️

Each room has its own character and theme, and we stayed in the beautifully designed “Marguerite.” The property keeps the charm of its past, reflecting the days when this area marked the edge of the city, which adds to its atmosphere. I’ve been to Paris many times, but this is the most romantic hotel I’ve experienced. The location is convenient, just steps from the Moulin Rouge and well connected to the metro for reaching the main sights. The staff were exceptionally attentive and always ready to help. For the spa, book ahead for a private one-hour session. It’s well worth it for the relaxation and exclusivity.

The building’s history is fascinating, and the rooms are beautiful. Food and drinks were excellent, too. The service was impeccable, with a personal touch and clear care for every detail from the owner. The hotel’s elegance and style make it my favorite place to stay in Paris. I highly recommend it, especially the bar in its gorgeous room. I’ll be back for a drink with friends.
