Hotel Mathis

The breakfast was amazing, especially the perfect cup of specialty coffee. The coffee shop and barber shop offer lots of services, and the team and service were the best. A perfect place to stay in Paris, 10/10.

The location is outstanding, and the staff were extremely friendly and proactive. Our room was clean, functional, and spacious by Paris standards, so we’ll definitely return. One thing could be better: breakfast was included, but the set menu had very limited choices.

Breakfast at the coffee shop tasted good, but service took far too long because one person was handling everything. The girl at the counter also wasn’t nice to customers. That didn’t feel like four-star service in Paris, and it’s why I gave the hotel two stars.

The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the towels were fresh. The staff were wonderful and ready to answer any questions without making us feel like a bother. The location was great too. The walls were paper thin, which is why I gave four stars instead of five. Maybe we just had noisy neighbors, but it felt as if they were right there in our room. Each morning around 5-6am, we woke to a screaming child, yelling, and general commotion across the hall. It put a damper on the stay, though I can’t really blame the hotel. I don’t think it’d be an issue with more considerate neighbors.
