Hôtel Miramar

Even though the staff were friendly and the location was convenient, I didn’t have a nice stay. The rooms have poor insulation, so I could hear people talking in the hallway and my neighbors’ TV or conversations. There was also a sewage smell in my room on the 1st floor.

The rooms are very old, though they were clean and some important areas had been renovated. The service wasn’t very good. I fell outside the hotel and hurt my knee, then called reception from my room to ask for ice or cold water to reduce the swelling. The man said he had neither and wouldn’t give me anything cold. I’d already had breakfast there, and they served cold boiled eggs from the fridge, not freshly boiled ones, and yogurt, so they did have a fridge and cold items. He just couldn’t be bothered to help. That probably says a lot about how they treat guests who are paying more than 200 eur a night.

We booked through Orbitz because the hotel was listed as wheelchair accessible, but when we arrived we found two steps at the entrance, making it impossible for us to stay. We asked for a refund and didn’t get our money back. This left us having to find another hotel before our reservation dates, June 4th-8th 2023. I’d never recommend it to people who can’t walk.

Getting around was easy thanks to the hotel's great location. The room was clean and the staff were nice, though it was smaller than I'd have liked. Still, I recommend it.
