Modern Hotel

The stay was cheap, but the rooms are small and there's no elevator, so carrying a suitcase is uncomfortable. The bathroom needs work: there was mold, it wasn't as clean as it should be, and the shower glass was dirty from previous use. It seemed they hadn't cleaned it for the new guests. There wasn't a proper blanket either, just a thin cover and a stained blanket to put over it. I don't think that blanket had been washed. Honestly, if the room were cleaner, it would've been okay, but...

The staff were unbelievably rude. Nobody greeted us or offered help, and even simple questions got eye-rolls and attitude. The food was old, dry, stale, and almost inedible. It looked as if it had been left out for days, and breakfast seemed to be yesterday's leftovers. The room was filthy, with dust everywhere, hair on the sheets, and a bathroom smelling of mold and sewage. It felt like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The whole place was dirty: sticky floors, trash in the halls, and a smell in the dining area that nearly made me gag. It's shocking that it's still open. Absolutely disgusting. Do NOT stay here. Save yourself the stress and stay anywhere else. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

The room was tiny, but had what I needed to rest. If you're looking for a good location at a good price, this is the hotel for you. You can hear everything from nearby rooms and even outside, though, and we had a noisy Italian couple staying next to us. Respect to the ladies who cleaned our room every day.

We were there for five days, and housekeeping came only once to make the beds. They brought towels daily when we asked, but the room was never vacuumed or properly cleaned. It smelled disgusting, and the photos online are misleading. The rooms are absolutely tiny, with barely any storage for suitcases or hangers for clothes, and no full-length mirror. You can hardly open a suitcase on the floor without it hitting the walls, let alone walk around. It was also extremely noisy, with people at the street bars until 3 or 4 a.m. every day. The windows aren't soundproof. At reception, one man in particular was extremely unhelpful. I watched him offer no help as two young women carried 50-pound suitcases up the spiral stairs. When I asked him to call us a cab to the train station in the morning, he said it wasn't possible at that hour, even though the city was full of cabs. Vastly disappointing and expensive for such low quality. Save your money and go elsewhere.
