Hôtel Muguet

We spent eight nights here and would happily come back. Several metro stations are just a short walk away, so getting around was easy, and there are plenty of attractions nearby. Both the room and the rest of the hotel were kept clean and tidy. Our room had its own bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink. Staff were friendly and communicated well before and during the stay.

Sergio at concierge was friendly and really helpful, though Uri was at the front desk when we arrived and came across as cold. That first impression wasn't good. The hotel is a clean, quaint four-story place on a quiet street, so we didn't hear traffic. Still, on nearby walks we saw smaller hotels with a cozier feel than Hotel Muguet. I also wish the lobby fireplace worked, especially on a raw, rainy day, and two of the big chairs need reupholstering. I appreciate the effort to cut plastic, but the jam came in a new individual glass jar every morning, and I felt bad opening one each time. I saw a staff member throw one away, so they don't recycle them. They should rethink that.

The room was a little small but fine for a couple, and the bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower was great. There was a supermarket nearby as well as plenty of good bakeries. This was the best hotel we stayed in on our euro trip. I edited my review because I'd mixed it up with another hotel we stayed at.

I was there for a three-night girls' weekend, and we had booked three rooms on the fourth floor. I got lucky and had a double room to myself. The family-owned hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street, and the owners were around and very welcoming. Staff were friendly, attentive, and answered our questions. I could sometimes hear loud neighbours, but it didn't bother me. My room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with soft towels, a comfy bed, and thoughtful little touches. Housekeeping did a good job. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and varied, though I only had it once. The location was excellent, a few minutes from metro stations and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and Invalides, with lots of cafés, restaurants, and shops close by. Booking well ahead can get you a very good price for the quality and location. A charming hotel, and I'd stay again without hesitation.
