Napoleon Hotel

The people here are a big part of why this is my favorite place to stay in Paris. Gérard the concierge, David the bellman, Pauline at the front desk and Koudous in the dining room have all been wonderful. The staff speak several languages and have helped with everything from a phone left in the back of an Uber to making hot tea with honey at the table for a friend who had a cold. It feels like home. Getting around is easy, with the Metro at Étoile about half a block away. The hotel is on a charming, quiet side street one block from the Champs-Elysees. I’ve stayed here myself and brought groups for week-long retreats. Breakfast is well worth it: fresh baguettes and pastries, hot dishes, smoked salmon and freshly squeezed juices. The rooms are lovely. On the courtyard side, there’s a small fountain that’s magical in warm weather, and you can open the windows to hear it. The top-floor suites cost more, but the views of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe are incredible. All the rooms have good water pressure, hair dryers and air conditioning, which is a must for a women’s retreat.

Hôtel Napoléon is wonderfully placed, just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe and close to cafés, shops and restaurants. It made an ideal base for exploring Paris. The staff were attentive and very friendly from the moment I arrived, and my room was spotless and beautifully appointed. I had a delightful stay, and the hotel exceeded my expectations.

For our first Paris visit, Hotel Napoléon was just what we’d hoped for. We could walk to all the sights from its perfect location. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious and very clean, and service was excellent. We were greeted with a Bonjour, and the front desk staff were always around to answer questions. Top notch throughout!

We had a wonderful weekend. The hotel was lovely and friendly, and our room had an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. The Arc De Triumph was to the right of the hotel. Brilliant location!
