Hotel Parisianer

The room was comfortable and clean, with neatly made bedding and a nice bathroom. The staff were very friendly and supportive. It’s a four-star hotel near the train station. There’s no restaurant on site, though there are very good Brasseries nearby. The savory breakfast wasn’t fantastic, since my bacon was a bit chewy, but it was still clean and hygienic.

I booked spontaneously after spotting the hotel on a map while staying in Paris, and they had rooms available when I walked straight in to ask. The receptionists were attentive and polite, which was a pleasant surprise. My room was fresh and clean, with good toiletries and everything I needed. The location is really convenient, with lovely bakeries and a store nearby. I’m grateful for the warm welcome and will definitely come back.

The hotel is near Gare de Lyon, right in the heart of Paris, and our room looked freshly decorated. The bathroom was brilliant, with a generous walk-in shower. I really enjoyed breakfast in the chic, stylish lounge, and everyone we spoke to was helpful and friendly. A little French goes a long way. I’m looking forward to staying again. If you want somewhere a bit different from a big hotel chain, I highly recommend it.

The way the staff handled the fire alarm on our final day was shocking. An elderly staff member acted aggressively, intimidated my child, and locked the door to block us. The hotel calls itself four-star, but my experience was far below that standard. I found the staff arrogant and dismissive throughout: I booked four nights and was put in a room at the far end of the floor. I asked to move and was refused, even though I saw empty rooms next door. The hygiene was terrible too. There was hair on the bed and in the toilet. When I asked for cleaning, staff said it wasn’t possible because the cleaners had left. Breakfast was very limited and poor quality, with food left over from previous days. The dining area was small and uncomfortable, and the staff there were inattentive. Totally disappointing and disrespectful to guests. Avoid this hotel.
