Hotel Passy Eiffel

The staff were all so kind and attentive, and the room was big and beautiful. The location was perfect, too. I've found my home away from home in Paris. What a gem!

It's really convenient, close to a Metro stop, with shops and lots of restaurant choices nearby. The neighborhood feels quiet and local, which we loved coming back to after a busy day, even though most tourist areas aren't within walking distance. The desk was always staffed, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily, and they brought up a fan when I asked for help cooling it down. Hotel Passy Eiffel was perfect for our Paris stay. We'd stay again!

We felt safe the whole time, and the location was great: minutes from the Eiffel Tower, a subway station, dinner, desserts, and a grocery store. We're Americans and were nervous about finding somewhere that spoke English and treated us respectfully. The reviews said it would, and they were absolutely right. We lucked out with a top-floor balcony room with views of the Eiffel Tower. It's hard to get a realistic eye-view photo, since a regular camera shot makes it look much farther away than it is. We loved the lobby's honor-system bar: help yourself, fill out a ticket, drop it off with reception, then enjoy a drink on the small patio. The elevator is tiny but does the job. Rooms are smaller all over Europe, so no complaints here. Paris hotels were ridiculously expensive, and this was a fair price. Don't hesitate, I promise.

The breakfast was excellent, and the older Chinese staff member serving it was very courteous. The two receptionists on duty the following day were friendly and helpful, too. The daytime check-in had also been smooth and welcoming, with a friendly woman at the desk. The hotel was comfortable and pleasant overall, but my experience that night at reception brought it down. My friend and I went to the reception area for a smoke. The young Asian man at the desk didn't greet us or make eye contact while answering our questions. We didn't know the garden was restricted late at night, and when we tried to enter, he said quite rudely, “You are not allowed to go there.” A more polite tone would have made a big difference. The incident affected what was otherwise a good stay. I stayed on September 25 and 26.
