Hôtel Pierre Nicole

The rooms were clean and tidy, with fans and a TV, and breakfast is available if you want it. Staff were super helpful and efficient, always ready to do what they could for you. It's a great hotel in the safe Montparnasse area, close to metro and train links. I'd definitely recommend it for a Paris trip and plan to stay here many more times.

The only drawback for us was the bathroom in our top floor room. Its slanted wall meant you couldn't stand upright in the bathtub to shower. Otherwise, this hotel is great value for the money, and we'll definitely return next time we're in Paris. The place was much nicer than you'd expect from a two star rating. Our room was cozy and spotless, and breakfast was a tasty, well stocked buffet. The staff were really nice and even let us change our booking on the day we arrived without a surcharge after we'd made a mistake.

Port Royal station is very close, so getting around Paris was easy. The room faced away from the street and stayed quiet, and the window let in a nice breeze. Since it was getting warm, I asked for a fan and they provided one, as there's no AC. The rooms were as advertised, small as you'd expect in Paris but comfortable for two. The staff were very nice, service was excellent, and communication in English was no problem. WiFi was fast and worked without issues, and they were accommodating with an early check in. Great value for money.

Ne restez pas ici! My phone had died, so I went in to ask about a room. I had all my credit cards and plenty of money to pay, but was immediately told to leave the premises. I was dressed nicely, in YSL Chelsea boots and a blue business shirt, and clearly accustomed to higher quality hotels, yet I was treated like an animal in the street. They wouldn't rent me a room. When I asked if there was somewhere else nearby I could go, the man yelled at me like I was a rat. I stayed polite and tried to speak French, but it made no difference. Another review mentioned that reception might be racist, and though I don't like making that suggestion, it seems quite possible. They weren't kind or helpful and don't deserve your money. There are plenty of other hotels in the city, and I hope no one else has to deal with the rude man I did.
