Hôtel Sèvres Saint Germain

I wouldn’t return to this hotel. The breakfast was okay, but at 19 euros each it didn’t feel worth the price, and my husband even saw a mouse. The response was that Paris has lots of mice. We’ve traveled a lot and never had that experience. The room was clean, but small, and if you’re on the street side it’s noisy. We had to open the window because the staff didn’t know how to turn on the air conditioning.

The location is extraordinary, but I can’t recommend the hotel because of the service from both reception and housekeeping. We were charged for food we hadn’t eaten, and for coffee even though the in-room coffee maker was broken. The sheets had crusty white stains when we arrived. I asked for them to be changed, but they never were. The woman at the front desk was rude and constantly on her phone. We also didn’t get the room we’d paid for, and with all our luggage we could barely fit everything in the room.

The strikes disrupted my trip, and the hotel handled the situation with patience and respect. They cared about what I was going through and worked out a fair solution. Their kindness, professionalism, and integrity really stood out at a stressful time. I highly recommend them for thoughtful service as well as good accommodation.

The walls are very thin, so you can hear other people talking. Aside from that, it’s a lovely hotel in a great area, and I’d definitely recommend it.
