Hotel Touraine Opera

The room was clean and a reasonable size for the price, but the shower was ridiculous. I'm 180cm (5'11), and couldn't stand beneath the fixed ceiling head, which seemed no higher than 170cm from the floor. If you're taller than 170, forget taking a standing shower. Noise started around 5am, with constant trucks outside, a loud fridge, and vibrations from the tube directly underneath. There was also a strong smell from the bathroom's very powerful perfume. The entrance was cramped, old, and ugly, and on arrival I was asked for my email "in case I forget something". I should have taken the big booking discount as a warning. TV, a Nespresso machine, toiletries, and a noisy fridge don't make this feel like a 4-star hotel. If you're happy with a 2-star experience at a 2-star price, go ahead, but don't expect four-star service.

Breakfast was good, and having complimentary tea and coffee available all day was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean, and the lift is a little small, though I understand space is limited. The location was good too. All the staff were helpful and nothing felt like too much trouble. Special mention to Davide, simply because we saw him most often. Thank you.

A small, cosy hotel in a great spot in Paris. We could walk across the city during our stay. The people were so kind and the service was very good. Davide was a perfect host, as were the other staff we met. I'd definitely recommend it for a short visit to beautiful Paris.

The neighborhood was peaceful at night, without noisy clubs or restaurants nearby, and the area overall was fantastic. Our five-night stay was a real pleasure. The hotel has a lovely boutique feel, and our room was spotless and quite spacious for Paris, with a desk that made working there easy. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having private access to the little gym and sauna. Breakfast was good, though it got repetitive and could use more variety. One thing felt out of place for a 4-star hotel: housekeeping carts and garbage bags stayed in the hallways for hours during the day. We'll still be back.
