Hotel Virgina

We spent two nights here while visiting Paris. Our room was very small, but pleasant and had what we needed. The area was busy in the daytime and quiet by evening, and the metro connections were great. The staff were helpful and professional. One downside was the air conditioning, which wasn't working, so the room got really warm overnight. A very nice stay otherwise.

The room felt cramped, and the soundproofing needs work. At times we could hear the shower next door. Still, the hotel has a modern feel, the staff were very professional, and the parking garage was a real convenience, with easy access and a comfortable layout.

The location is very good, near the metro, and the staff are really nice. But the two rooms we booked were very different. The double room was clean and warm, with working heating. The triple room was extremely cold and smelled bad because its ventilation wasn't working. When I asked why there was no heat in the triple room, a staff member said the double room's heating didn't work, although it did. After three days there, I caught a cold. The triple room was uncomfortable, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I was very disappointed. I booked this hotel because its profile said it offered babysitting, a service I needed and the main reason I chose it over other places. Once I booked, I contacted the hotel to arrange a time and was told they didn't offer babysitting at all. I have screenshots showing it was advertised. Even though the information on their page was misleading, the hotel refused to cancel and refund my booking. It's frustrating to find out an important service isn't available only after booking, and to see no responsibility taken afterward. I'd advise future guests to check directly that any important services are actually available.
