The bathroom door and shower door were broken, the room had no air conditioning and felt like a sauna, and it was VERY noisy. The location was terrible. There were mice: the night shift worker saw one and moved us to another room, where we could still hear another mouse. When we returned to the first room in the morning to get our things, the mouse was dead on the bathroom floor. The pictures are stolen from another hotel. We tried to get our money back and only got half. I've stayed in loads of hotels in my life, and this was hands down the worst. It doesn't deserve even zero stars. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The hotel's location has a lot to be desired, unless you're a freelance exotic dancer. The advertising photos, pretty much the whole carousel, are stolen from another hotel. They say your belongings aren't safe here, and warn that staying puts your health at risk, though all the insects have even moved out. This place is awful. Please value your health and don't visit. If you expect it to be okay as just a bed, you'll find it stressful and may end up begging another hotel to take you in. If you value your existence, don't put yourself through that trauma. You're a moron if you book after reading this. Don't be a moron.

I paid 80€ a night for one person through Booking. The equipment was very basic and worn out. The sheets looked yellowish, the shower was full of mold, and the bathroom wasn't clean. There wasn't a proper curtain to let you sleep in the morning, either. And the smoke detector wasn't in the room, it was between the entrance doors.

The location puts you close to lots of facilities and a metro station just a minute away. The optional traditional French breakfasts were delicious and always fresh. It's a small, family-run place in an old, refurbished building; the rooms are small and have the essentials. I'd call it traditional and authentic rather than basic. The staff are genuinely decent, warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We appreciated that after having our fill of 5-star places with plastic smiles, fake friendliness, and no soul. If you want to experience real Paris and its people while avoiding high-priced Paris-for-tourists, this hotel is a good choice. We recommend it if a clean, comfortable bed, ensuite facilities, great heating, a good location, and genuinely great staff are what you value.
