Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile Hotel

The room smelled strongly, and I highly recommend using more air freshener. The toilet hadn't been cleaned either. I attached a picture. How does housekeeping leave a room like this for the next guest, and which manager checks that rooms are properly done? We spent $700 for two room for 1 night and expected more service. It didn't feel like a vacation. We've stayed at many Hyatts over 25 years of travel and expect more as our kids get older. This Hyatt was below par, like double boogie level. The valet guy didn't seem happy to see us, walked away, and we had to unload all the bags ourselves. Strike 1. We asked to change the reservation to my name so I could get my Hyatt pints, but were denied. Strike 2. The dirty toilet and smell were strike 3. I hope someone from Hyatt reaches out so they'll keep us as members.

The family suite gave us a second room with proper twin beds instead of a sofa bed, plus a second full bathroom. The included breakfast was on the top floor, with an amazing Eiffel Tower view. The choices were a bit basic but fresh, and it never felt too crowded. The Arc is a 10-minute walk. The Eiffel Tower and Louvre are farther, about 25 minutes by cab or a 30-minute walk, but the hotel suited us well since we planned to visit Versailles, Montmatre, and Roland Garros. The view from our room was the real standout. Seeing the Eiffel Tower by day and at night was stunning, and few large hotels in Paris offer that at this price point.

The beds were really comfortable, and the breakfast buffet had omelets and eggs made to order. We booked a deluxe Eiffel Tower room, and the views were spectacular. The hotel is walkable to all Paris attractions, with the best Eiffel Tower views of any Paris hotel. The staff were a 10, and the cleaning team were the best in the business. I accidentally dropped a diamond necklace. After I checked out, I called three hours later and they'd found it. I'm highly impressed. Book Hyatt, you won't be disappointed.

Traveling with my son was wonderful, even though this is known as a business hotel. Camilla and her VIP team, Jeanne and Manon, gave us thoughtful gifts that made the stay magical, and their warm hospitality made us feel welcome. The view of the Eiffel Tower from our room was breathtaking. Getting around was so convenient: the hotel connects directly to the shopping mall behind the elevators, then leads to Porte Maillot station through Exit 9, with Metro Line 1, RER C, and E. We could travel around Paris without getting wet on rainy days. The location is unbeatable. Highly recommended for business or family trips.
