ibis Styles Paris Place d'Italie Butte aux Cailles Hotel

Claire at reception gave us excellent help. She quickly explained how to park at their nearby partner carpark so we wouldn't get a ticket just outside the hotel. She also gave us a room at the very top with a view, which my daughter loved. All the staff were really nice. Breakfast was ample, and the chia pudding was delicious. I'd never tried it before. The cozy breakfast room felt like sharing a big room with family, and after a day of sightseeing we came back there for hot chocolate, since the machine stays available to guests late into the day. Local cafés and restaurants are within walking distance. Thanks again, especially to Claire. :)

We enjoyed our 3 days here, and it almost felt like a homestay, with a family atmosphere. The location and the view from the front-facing rooms were very serene. The breakfast was handsome, but the bathrooms were not. Claire, especially, was first rate from check-in through check-out and is an asset to the chain. The whole staff tried to speak English and help with whatever was needed.

A nice budget hotel with great access to the city. I'd recommend it, 4/5. The breakfast is modest but decent, with an okay range of items. We especially enjoyed the fresh bread and baked goods. The rooms are the main downside. The bed is comfortable, but the bathroom is painfully small, and there's no mini fridge, so it might be uncomfortable for stays longer than a week. The neighborhood is quiet, with good dining options nearby, and it's easy to get across the city from Corvisart or Place d’Italie metro stations. Staff speak a wide range of languages and are wonderfully friendly. They were happy to help with anything, from calling taxis and recommending restaurants to sorting out our room card issue.

The area suited us well, with some great restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was simple but had everything we needed.
