J.K. Place Paris

I came to see this hotel as a Paris tour guide, looking for a good option for clients who wanted to stay in the area. I’d seen some positive reviews, but the visit was awful. Nobody greeted me when I came in. I found reception and waited, while the manager and employee seemed tense and unhappy. I also saw the manager treating the woman working there in a degrading way. When he finally dealt with me, he spoke as if he were above everyone else. The atmosphere made me very uncomfortable and didn’t match the good reviews. I’ll take my clients and their money elsewhere. Owners, fix the management or risk losing customers and your reputation.

A lovely little gem on a quiet street, though it felt more secluded and quiet than I like. The wireless phones in the bedroom and the noisy AC fan weren’t for me, and the dinner menu seemed a bit uninspired for Paris. I’m nitpicking, though. The gym was pretty decent, even if the dumbbells only went up to 14kg.

A beautiful place with wonderful rooms, a great restaurant, and absolutely lovely staff. The location is great too, just one block from muse dorsay. If that’s what you’re after, this is the perfect place.

JK Place is the one Paris hotel I’m eager to return to. I’ve stayed at plenty of five-star places here, including the venerable RC, and none has matched it. Its location is divine, easy to walk around from, with plenty of restaurants and shops just steps away. The staff made us feel so welcome throughout our stay, and every small request was handled with care. After we left, Carlo even followed up and arranged for a lovely Parisian care package to arrive at my home in Alaska. That kind of thoughtfulness is hard to beat. I’d told them I’d made the long, exhausting trip from Alaska, and the staff seemed to anticipate everything I might need. They took me to the hotel restaurant, where a light, restorative breakfast was waiting. Then I was shown to a gorgeous, spacious suite, especially by Paris standards. I actually gasped. The walk-in closet was already arranged, with all my luggage neatly put away. From the moment I arrived, I was treated as if I were the only guest there, though I suspect they make everyone feel that way. It was one of the most extraordinary luxury hotel stays I’ve had.
