The Nordik Suite looked sleek and stylish in the photos, and at first glance it matched them. The problems became obvious once I looked more closely. The AC was faulty: its button came off in my hand, and it only blew room-temperature air, so the room was uncomfortable, especially on warmer days. The mattress was extremely hard, like concrete, and the suspended bed kept creaking. The decking under the bathtub creaked too. There were maintenance and cleanliness issues as well, including candle-burn marks on the glass divider between the bed and bath. The location was another serious downside. There’s a busy main road just steps away, and the area felt unsafe, especially at night. There were groups of migrants camping in tents a short walk away, and some public behavior that made the surroundings feel even more uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend walking after dark, particularly for women or anyone on their own. The hotel is far from the main attractions, so we relied on Uber for everything. Even trips of 2-4 km often took around an hour in traffic. I’d strongly suggest choosing somewhere more central. The room looked appealing online, but the reality didn’t meet expectations. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have booked it. You live and learn, and I hope this helps others avoid the same disappointment.

The room was superb, though the breakfast was just okay. The scrambled eggs were dry and crumbly. When we had a small bathroom problem, the staff were very apologetic and accommodating, and even comped us breakfast. The hotel is very close to Gare de Nord, with the M2 elevated line a short walk away and useful for getting into the city. I also liked the neighborhood, with its many South Asian restaurants and shops.

I visit Paris often, and this was one of the more comfortable hotels I’ve stayed in, especially because the rooms were large and there was parking. It’s a 12-minute walk from Paris-Nord station, and metro and bus stops nearby made it easy to go anywhere. A very good stay.

If you’re traveling by car, I strongly recommend against booking here. Parking was a very unpleasant experience: a car blocked the exit for several vehicles, and it took about an hour before we could get out. The staff couldn’t find the vehicle’s owner or resolve it promptly. I was especially surprised that the hotel lets cars into the parking area without knowing who they belong to.
