The area didn't feel safe to me as a woman on my own after dark. There were lots of youths hanging around, and a strong police presence at night. On the plus side, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were friendly. The metro station is literally 50 metres away, which was super convenient.

I'm still here and leave tomorrow, but this has been a really shitty stay. The room has smelled of ammonia ever since I walked in. The front desk is a little passive aggressive, though I expected that. Room service just walks in without knocking, whether you're dressed or not. The Wi-Fi can't seem to decide when it wants to work.

We couldn't sleep properly because our room was beside the elevator. People were coming and going with luggage in the middle of the night, and the noise continued until morning. I'd emailed ahead to request a quiet, clean room, and the hotel replied that it had accommodated the request. That wasn't what we got. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. There isn't even water provided in the room, and they sell it for 0.5 euros. There's no in-room refrigerator either. The only one is in reception, shared by everyone and almost full, so keep that in mind if you're travelling in summer. Booking.com reviews for this hotel are very good, which I found misleading. I wish I'd read other reviews before booking. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Terrible experience.

A very quiet room at the back, with great memory foam pillows, made this a good short stay. The staff were friendly, the room and public areas were clean, and it's excellent value. The location is practical, right on Metro line 4. The bathroom was quite small, and a few minor repairs were needed.
