La Fantaisie

The breakfast could use some work, especially more berries and choices guests can select themselves instead of having to wait for an order. The hotel's distinctive design brings together green, yellow, and coral, with fabrics, carpets, and art giving it a festive feel. I also liked the garden, rooftop bar, restaurant, and the spa, which has thermal micro pools, a hammam, a regular sauna, and an infrared cabin. It's an atmospheric boutique hotel with a particular charm, and the staff try to sort out problems with a positive, friendly attitude. Ben's professionalism especially stood out. We travel a lot and have plenty of hotel experience, and this fresh, creative place really draws people in. It opened in 2023 and is a five-star boutique hotel, though it isn't the classic deluxe suite experience with impeccable service you'd expect at the Ritz Hotel.

Breakfast was pretty basic, neither great nor bad. The location, though, was perfect, and the staff made the trip much easier, especially after traveling a long distance. Emma was a rockstar with all my questions and concerns, and she delivered, helping me get into museums and exhibits. Miguel was friendly and helpful too, and the rest of the team were wonderful. That's what I look for in a hotel. I had a wonderful time at La Fantaisie.

I found the location convenient and liked the room decor, but the food and drinks, including breakfast, were poor. The back-of-house staff were incredibly rude: one person opened my door without permission and threw a pair of slippers into the room. I reported it, but reception did absolutely nothing. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Parking was the one hassle. You have to leave the car a few minutes away, and it takes time. Everything else was lovely: a very good location, a well-run spa, and incredibly polite, nice staff. The vintage decor felt tasteful and cozy. A true gem of a boutique hotel.
