La Fondation

Suzanne, Louise, and Julie made a real difference to my stay at Hôtel La Fondation. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely caring, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. That level of service is rare. From beginning to end, everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely come back.

Paula at the front desk was incredibly helpful the whole time, and our room had a great bed and pillows, plus blackout curtains. The pool looked beautiful, though we didn't swim. We stayed at La Fondation for 6 nights in May 2026, in a residential, walkable neighborhood with good metro and bus connections. Parc Monceau and Square des Batignolles are lovely, and there are plenty of good bistros, creperies, and cafes. Rue Levis was full of food and wine shops and eclectic stores. The rooftop bar has breathtaking views of Sacre Coeur and the Tour Eiffel. We'd stay again.

The neighborhood is a matter of taste. It’s a very nice, very French area full of locals, but a fair way from the tourist sights, so it suits relaxing at the hotel and spa more than sightseeing. We loved the stay and were sad to leave. The place is modern and luxurious, with a huge pool and spa, two restaurants, a rooftop bar, garden terrace, gym, and even a climbing wall. Our room was lovely, with one of the most beautiful bathrooms I’ve seen, and service was perfect throughout. Dinner at La Base was fantastic, especially the steak tartare and carnaroli. Elisee and Eva were very hospitable, and breakfast was excellent. One of our favorite stays in Paris.

The hotel has very nice rooms and an impressive breakfast, but checkout left me disappointed. My Trip.com booking was prepaid and clearly included breakfast, yet I was charged extra for it. When I queried the bill, the hotel first tried to explain and justify the charge instead of correcting it. After I showed my booking confirmation, they acknowledged breakfast was included and that the extra charge was an error. It was eventually sorted out, but being asked to pay twice for something already prepaid shouldn't have happened. Good hotel overall, though this was below expectations.
