The drink voucher came with a nice message, and the hotel has a lot of potential. The location near the Eiffel Tower is great, and it’s a beautiful place with a lovely breakfast buffet. Still, during the heat wave we couldn't enjoy our room or bathtub because the air conditioning didn't work. We called reception and were told they'd look into it, but nothing changed. We’d also mentioned my gluten allergy and were promised gluten-free pastries, but none were provided at breakfast. The cookies left in our room had gluten in them. Functional air conditioning is a minimum requirement.

The stay was okay, but I felt a bit ripped off by the five-star and 24/7 room-service claims. We were promised perks like $90 credit, but it wasn't useful when there was no room service and the restaurant had almost nothing we could order. When I asked for room service, they told me to order Uber Eats. I choose hotels with 24/7 room service for late arrivals when I'm jet-lagged, so that was a letdown. I also didn't try dinner. At lunch, most of the menu, including every entree, was unavailable, so there was essentially no lunch. Breakfast, on the other hand, was good. The rooms are nice, but extremely small, barely enough space to open a suitcase. The thermostat was a plus, and the bathroom and shower were nice, though the bathroom had no fan and its lock was broken. Staff tried to enter our room even though the do-not-disturb light was on, and walked in on my girlfriend undressed. We got late checkout, but they wouldn't confirm it until the day itself, which made planning difficult. I'd rate it lower four-star quality at best, not five stars. I probably wouldn't stay again.

The room was beautifully decorated, but after what happened, I can't see myself staying here again unless the hotel can show that the bug infestation has been dealt with. The experience has stayed with me, and I now find it hard to relax in hotels, worrying something similar might happen. My partner and I booked a duplex for a birthday trip in late November 2025. We arrived late, went out to get food, then came back to find bugs on the sheets, walls, and even the mattress. I don't know what kind they were, but the response didn't seem urgent or serious enough. Around 3am, we were shown two other rooms. We checked the walls, bedding, and mattresses carefully, and saw bugs in both. With nowhere else to go that night, we tried sleeping on the downstairs couch in our room. At over £290 a night for a place presenting itself as five-star, it was incredibly disappointing. We barely slept and kept checking the linen. The hotel refunded our first night and moved us to another floor the next morning. The night staff said they couldn't authorize a room change until a manager was there. Even after moving, we couldn't relax or feel comfortable because we no longer trusted the rooms' cleanliness. They offered complimentary breakfast, but didn't make clear that it covered the rest of the stay, so we couldn't fully use it.

The service was excellent, and my wife loved her massage. We also enjoyed the little patio, the bar and dining area, and a really good breakfast selection. The location was very good, too. It was a mixed bag on the room side. The building is rather nondescript, and our window looked straight at another room.
