Le Jardin De Verre by Locke

Le Jardin de Verre is the only place I want to stay on my next trip, which I've already arranged. We spent four nights here, and it was a highlight of our holiday: a quiet, safe local area close to everything without being right in the center, and without all the tourists. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Check-in was easy, and when our room key didn't work, they sorted it out calmly and efficiently. The bar staff were upbeat and knew the hotel and menu well. Our room was clean, relaxing, and well equipped, with a mini kitchenette, kettle, and fridge, which worked well for staying in one place for a few days.

Cecilia was especially lovely and pointed us toward a great restaurant. Everyone was so kind. We liked the modern rooms, and the hotel's restaurant served great food. There are plenty of nice bars and restaurants nearby too. We had a really lovely stay and would recommend it.

After several unlucky stays in Paris, I was fed up and booked Le Jardin de Verre by Locke at the last minute. As soon as I saw the hotel, I had a good feeling, and the stay lived up to it. The team made us feel welcome from the start and were kind, attentive, and ready to help. The hotel is beautiful, in a great area, and had every comfort we could want. Our room was stylish, comfortable, and spotless, and we slept so well. Breakfast was delicious, and we felt at home. Our dogs were welcomed warmly and got so much affection from the staff, which meant a lot to us. My boyfriend proposed in our room, making the trip even more unforgettable. Locke will always mean something special to us. Huge thanks to the team for the warmth and the lovely memories. We'll definitely return.

During our nine-night stay, housekeeping repeatedly missed our requests to collect the trash. We were also scheduled for one weekly cleaning, but the job was far below what I'd expect from a four-star aparthotel. The floors weren't vacuumed, the bed and pillow linens weren't changed, trash was left behind, and visible marks remained on the mirrors and kitchenette surfaces. The cleaning felt perfunctory and was surprisingly poor, as the attached photos show. When we later asked again for the trash to be picked up, the male housekeeping staff member seemed reluctant and unapologetic. That was shocking. The quiet neighborhood, friendly reception team, cozy atmosphere, and beautiful exterior were positives, but they couldn't make up for the overall experience. I've visited Paris many times and have admired the French attention to detail. Compared with my excellent previous stay at the four-star Hotel Maison Mère, this was a stark contrast and left a bitter impression. I won't book here again. A real shame.
