The apartment's location near place de la République was convenient, but our three-week stay from April 4th to April 28, 2026 cost 6100 euro / $7150 US, and it didn't feel worth it. It was only 35meter square or 315 square feet, which felt cramped and claustrophobic for most of our stay. The apartment also wasn't charming, despite the listing. The key arrangements made arrival and departure awkward. The check-in process and key pickup were difficult, with the key box 2 blocks away, and we had to return the key to a drop box 3 street away. Two weeks before arrival we asked for a second set of keys, since we had different friends and interests visiting Paris. Edgar, the checkmyguest concierge, said another set wasn't possible. We also asked to leave our luggage an hour early and were quoted an additional 90 euros. All contact was through WhatsApp until we reached the head office after five tries, since staff were in a meeting from 2 to 6 pm. The next day, someone with common sense finally arranged a second set. The assigned concierge service was inadequate, unfriendly, and not helpful with basic needs. Nobody checked on us during the three weeks. The agency did call after checkout to make sure we had left, ask whether we liked the apartment, and confirm we'd returned the keys. Inside, the kitchen was dirty, with crumbs under appliances, and most cookware was missing. There was no dishcloth or towel for drying dishes. The sheets and comforter were stained, as was the bathroom door. The floor was in poor condition. We got only three hair and shampoo blue kits for the whole stay, which wasn't enough. The apartment essentials listed air conditioning, but access had been locked. Paris was above 20 celsius ( 68 Fahrenheit) for 9 days, and inside it felt uncomfortably hot and muggy. The neighbors upstairs were noisy from 10:30 PM to 12:30 and again from 6 AM to 8 AM, waking us on several occasions. We didn't enjoy Paris as much this time because of the check-in and key pickup, the size, dirty kitchen and bed linen, inadequate kitchen and toiletry supplies, and the floor. At 6100 euros ( $ 7150 US), it definitely wasn't worth it.
