The location is amazing, close to the subway. I stayed at Loft Paris in April and booked again for August. I had the small apartment, which was very comfortable, with a bathroom next to it and a small kitchen stocked with supplies. It was very clean, in a very French-style building.
We left after two nights without sleep. Rain was coming through the kitchen ceiling, and we found cockroaches, clothing moths, and used condom wrappers under the beds. There were spiderwebs and dirt in every corner, and everything we touched felt dusty or sticky and greasy. It didn’t seem to have been cleaned in a long time. The Duplex looked lovely and cozy in the photos, but the apartment we found was run-down and poorly maintained. The stay was quite a nightmare.
Don’t be fooled by the pictures. This place doesn’t look like them.
Fantasy.
The building is old, with typically French apartments. I’ve stayed in both the duplex and the suite over the years, and I like them both. Each time I’ve felt very comfortable, and the place has been clean. The metro and two bus lines stop right outside, making it an ideal base for exploring Paris.
