Just beside Ibis Styles Paris Gare de l'Est Château Landon, the station is easy to reach. The place was tidy and clearly signed, and the digital board made train times easy to check. The ticket counter staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
I stayed at the Ibis Style hotel right by this station. It's not especially big, but its position is handy, with Gare de l’est nearby and the main stations on line 7.
I took the Paris Metro from Chateau-Landon to Trocadero on 14/1/19 to see the Eiffel Tower, after using the Tokyo metro the previous year. The difference in quality was obvious. The carriages were small, dirty, and packed, and the stations looked poorly maintained. I had a very bad experience and wouldn't use this dirty, badly kept service unless I had to. Some Parisians were unfriendly, and the staff were rude too. They often communicated with gestures. If they want to serve tourists, they should learn to speak English. I honestly feel this deserved less than one star.
