Lokappart - Buci

I wish I’d found this little gem years ago. The location’s fantastic, with most sights walkable and the metro nearby, and the breakfast was wonderful. My room was cozy and clean, and the welcome was so warm. There was an intimate wine social the night I stayed, and I had a nice chat with a woman beside me who comes back a few times every year. This is my favorite hotel anywhere, and I can’t wait to stay again when I return to Paris.

We were in Paris in December 2025 and stayed at Hotel Buci for four nights. It’s a beautiful, stylish boutique hotel in a central spot, just a short walk from the Louvre. The deluxe room slept three, was quiet and had lovely furnishings. We found a handwritten welcome note when we arrived, and the hotel even provided a Dyson hair dryer, which was a first for us. The staff and room service were both great, and everything was clean and well maintained. In my view, it was worth the $1K per night we paid. The one thing to consider is mobility: the shower can be a little risky to get in and out of, though we found that in most hotels in Europe. I don’t have any other complaints. It’s a stunning hotel and worth the splurge.

The location is unbeatable, the staff are great, and the hotel itself is really cute with modern features like AC, which can be hard to find. The rooms are a bit small, as you’d expect in Paris, but there are a few things to know. Our first-floor room had such a strong sewer smell that we couldn’t sleep through the night. The staff acknowledged the problem and kindly moved us to the fifth floor. The new room had no sewer smell, but its safe wasn’t working and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. In the first room, the bathroom handle had also fallen off. The hotel is very nice, and I’d consider coming back, but it could use some TLC.

The location made getting around easy, with the nearest metro just a quick walk away and lots of cafes within a block or two. Even in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, the soundproofing worked so well that our room felt peaceful after a full day exploring. The hotel is small and refined, with a deluxe feel and great attention to detail, from the well-kept rooms to the thoughtful little touches. What really stood out was the service, especially Chief Concierge Sanjay. His suggestions felt carefully chosen for us, and he went above and beyond to make the details of our visit run smoothly. It was an exceptional stay from beginning to end. I’d gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a polished, personal stay in Paris.
