Maison Mère

The only confusing part was arranging the Seine cruise through the hotel. We didn’t receive the information, so we had to go back to reception and get the manager’s help to sort it out and rebook. Aside from that, Maison Mère made our honeymoon in Paris feel really special. The two women who checked us in were so sweet and welcoming, and we were greeted with champagne. In our room they’d left a tote bag, wine, chocolate, and a flower. The note joked about enjoying breaks between business meetings, though we were on our honeymoon. It was a mix-up, but it made us laugh and became a funny trip memory. Breakfast was delicious every morning, fresh and thoughtful. Twice they surprised us with adorable dessert plates saying “Happy Honeymoon,” which we loved. The hospitality, little touches, and atmosphere made for a wonderful stay. We’d absolutely recommend the hotel.

The room was clean, air-conditioned, and quiet, with a big, comfortable bed. I appreciated the small personal touches, and the welcome was warm and friendly. The location was very good, and the price felt very reasonable. There wasn’t a single negative during my pleasant stay. An easy five stars.

There are lovely bakeries and places to eat nearby. The hotel is close to the metro for the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre and Moulin rouge are within walking distance. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the hotel was lovely.

We had a balcony room on a very quiet street, and it was worth it. The rooms are a little small, but very well appointed, with great attention to detail, an excellent shower, and a really comfortable bed. The staff kindly arranged tulips in the room for my wife when I asked. It’s a sweet boutique hotel in the 9th arrondissement, near local bakeries and restaurants. It felt like being in real Paris. We’ll return.
