Hotel La Maison Montparnasse

The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with huge windows, a soft bed, and air conditioning that was especially welcome on hot summer days. The sheets and towels were changed every day. The bathroom had soap and shower gel that could also be used as shampoo. The downside was that there were no disposable slippers, which was a problem, and only one bottle of water for two people, which wasn’t very convenient. The reception staff were nice, and breakfast was tasty, with pastries, cereals, and drinks to choose from. There were no vegetables, though, which was not a major issue. Breakfast costs extra, so keep that in mind. The hotel is good and easy to find, with pros and cons. I’d recommend it for a couple of nights, but not for a longer stay.

The area is pretty, and the staff are friendly. Rooms are clean but very small. The bed and linens were comfy, the bathroom looked new after a recent renovation, and the air conditioning was good. There was no hairdryer or slippers in the room, and just one complimentary 0.5 bottle of water. Breakfast was average at 14€ per person, with two types of meat and cheese, fish, pastries, boiled eggs, and yogurt. Fresh vegetables would have been nice. We paid 220€ for one night in June, which felt quite expensive for the services.

A great little hotel in a good location. The room was clean and good, the bed was fantastic, and the staff were excellent. I can’t really fault it, though there were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room.

The neighborhood has a few lovely restaurants, bakeries, and bars, and the Pernety metro stop makes it easy to get around Paris. We found the hotel reasonably priced for the city, too. Our studio for four was roomy and very clean, with one bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom was nice, and the shower was fantastic. Towels, a hair dryer, a microwave, a fridge, and refreshing air conditioning were all provided. The one nuisance was a knocking sound coming from somewhere outside the wall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good. It ran from 7 AM-10 AM and had croissants, mini donuts, Belgian waffles, delicious apple pie, toast, eggs, yogurt with toppings, cereal, coffee, juices, ham, cheese, smoked salmon, fruit, jams, and spreads.
