Hotel Marceau Champs Elysees

The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the staff were lovely and always ready to help. It’s a fantastic hotel within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Highly recommended, and I’d certainly stay again.

We slept really well here. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and our compact room was very clean and had everything we needed. We’d upgraded from standard to Premium, and towels and bedding were changed daily. The reception staff were all brilliant, so friendly and helpful. I’m sorry I can only remember Roodys name. The little bar by reception was lovely, with complimentary tea and coffee available to help yourself to. The trust bar with soft drinks was chargeable. There was also a minibar in the room where we could keep our own drinks cold, though it was quite expensive. We had breakfast for £14 euros each. If you like continental food, pastries, yogurt, fruit, bread, cheese, and eggs, it’s perfect. The hotel feels very Parisian and quaint, and it’s a great clean, safe base for exploring. The Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triomph are an easy walk away, the Louvre Gallary is about 45 minutes on foot, and shops, bars, and restaurants are close. The only small drawback was the room size, and the bathroom door had some see-through glass, so I’d be wary about sharing with anyone you’re not very familiar with. We loved it. There’s good variety at breakfast, and the ground-floor cafe is great, with free coffee until 10 at night. Staff were efficient and courteous, and it was great value for money. Our room and bathroom were both a decent size. Bakeries, a grocery store, and restaurants are nearby, and you can walk to the Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower from this great location.

The staff made things easy when I had to change my reservation several times because of my father's health and my sister canceling. They also kept my luggage after checkout until my evening train, which meant I didn't have to carry it around Paris. The location is wonderfully central, and breakfast was lovely, clean, and ready each morning. My room was cleaned daily, and the cleaning lady was so sweet. The room was small, as you'd expect in Paris, but comfortable and clean, with working air conditioning. Everything worked as it should. It's not five-star luxury, but it's a great central option for the price. I'd recommend it.
