Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center

The hotel is lovely, with clean, comfortable rooms and a great bar and lobby. We visited Paris from the US for the first time and stayed a couple of nights. We spent some time relaxing, reading, and enjoying a good Bordeaux in the “Wine Room,” just behind the bar and down a few stairs. Getting around on foot was the drawback. There’s not much nearby, just a few restaurants and no interesting shops. The Latin Quarter shopping area was a very cool place, about a 15-20 minute walk away. The subway is right across from the hotel, so other parts of town are easy to reach, just not really within walking distance. Breakfast was poor quality and expensive, so it isn’t worth the price. A local restaurant or bakery would be better.

The room had a large TV with English-language channels, plus a phone charging pod with wireless charging. I’d forgotten my charger, so that was a lifeline, and a nice touch more hotels should consider. I stayed four nights in a clean, spacious room on the 8th floor, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom and toilet were separate, so two people could use them at once. There was a fridge, kettle, coffee and tea, and a coffee machine. The shower had strong pressure and got hot almost immediately. Ceiling height was adequate, though people over 6 feet tall might find it different in my floor’s rooms. The location was convenient, near Saint Jaques metro and a seven-minute walk from denfort rocherau station, with frequent RER B trains straight to CDG. A one-way trip costs 14 euros. Room service was provided daily by default. I skipped breakfast, but there’s a nearby bakery open every day from 6 am, as well as restaurants and shops. A comfortable and convenient stay.

Mr. Hilton at the front desk really stood out for his professionalism and service. I hope his managers recognize how hard he works, he’s a fantastic asset to the team. My five-night stay at the Marriott Rive Gauche in January 2026 was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were comfortable, the food was high quality, and the location was fine for exploring, even though it’s a bit far from the city center. Everything was satisfying, and I highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

Michel Santoni kept the huge breakfast room running smoothly, with professional manners and almost ninja-like precision. We had a splendid Christmas holiday at the Marriott Rive Gauche, with incredible staff and service, an extraordinary breakfast buffet, and a dinner menu we enjoyed. The scrambled eggs were the best ever! The subway is only a block away, and we’re looking forward to coming back this May. Candace & Andrew
