Maxim Folies

After five nights here as a couple, we found the room size pretty normal for Paris, so it wasn’t a surprise. What we did miss during a longer stay was a small fridge for food and some cutlery. The rooms were cleaned very thoroughly every day, the staff were great, and the metro is close by, though we also walked into the city. This would be a good choice for a shorter visit, and we’d recommend it.

The front desk team really made the stay worthwhile. After a small check-in mix-up, they sorted it out quickly, and they kindly kept my Saint Malo butter and cooler bag in their fridge, with the ice pack in the freezer. I was relieved I wouldn’t have to worry about it spoiling before I flew home. I stayed two nights at the tail end of my trip, and the location was great. The rooms are quite small, and the floors are so thin that my upstairs neighbor sounded like an elephant walking around. I’m a light sleeper, so earplugs might be useful.

We were happy with our choice for a one-night stay. The rooms were clean, the service was fantastic, and breakfast was delicious. Our room felt a little cramped, though that’s to be expected in Paris. Maxim Folies is in an excellent location, and we’d definitely recommend it if you’re trying to choose where to stay.

We’ll definitely come back on our next Paris trip. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms had been recently renovated, and ours looked out over the theater. Breakfast was excellent, and staff kept replenishing items as they ran out. The hotel is close to two major metro stations, which made getting around easy. The staff were kind and friendly, and the reception team spoke several languages, so communication was easy. They were very hospitable.
