Maxim Opéra

The gentleman who greeted us was lovely. He showed us to the lift and invited us to help ourselves to complimentary drinks and homemade cakes. We had a pleasant stay, though the double room felt a bit too snug. If you can afford it, I’d consider upgrading, even though we spent most of our time out exploring Paris. There’s tea and coffee in the room, plus a steamer and good-quality soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and other toiletries. I’m not sure if the nighttime banging came from the hotel, but there was a lot of it, like doors slamming. Slow-close door fittings would help. The walls are thin too, and we could hear neighbors plugging things in and using their showers. A few doors down, there’s a little cocktail bar that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but I highly recommend it. It’s very cheap compared with some places.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The location was ideal too, with cafés, bistros, and boulangeries just steps away, and Cadet metro station close by for getting around the city. Our room was exceptionally clean and worked fine for two, even though it was on the small side. We loved the terrace-style windows, which let in lots of light and fresh air. We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Maxim Opera and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

Restaurants, bars, cafés, metro stations, and sights are all nearby, which made the location a real plus for me. The room was spotless and beautifully designed, and the staff were so welcoming and nice. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel.

My daughter and I had a great weekend here. The bed was a little hard, and I’d say it probably falls short of four stars, but the atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly. We could walk to lots of places of interest and good restaurants, and the location was decent. We stayed through 27-19 Oct 1925. We didn’t use room service. I’d recommend it.
