Hôtel Monceau Elysées

The polite, friendly staff and the central location were the only good parts of this stay. My room was tiny, and the large double bed I booked turned out to be two beds pushed together, with two separate blankets. The old mattresses were uncomfortable and I couldn't sleep well. The heating and air conditioning made the small room hot in one spot and cold in another. I was lucky to have a window in the bathroom, but it was winter and there was no heat in there. Even leaving the bathroom door open didn't help, so taking a shower was impossible. The sink had no drain screen either, meaning a small item like an earring, ring, or earphone could disappear down it. The heavy key fob was awkward to carry around. The fabric-covered walls gave off a musty, stale-room smell, and the cleaning seemed superficial. Corners, lamps, and the tops of appliances were often very dirty. This was probably my worst hotel experience. I wouldn't recommend it. Find somewhere better.

The front desk team is what makes this place work. Ahmed and Kevin were amazing, and the other colleagues were welcoming and friendly too. I think the staff were all men. It's practical for business, with a good location and connections. The area is less crowded than some parts of Paris but still very well situated. I know people comment on the price, though Paris is costly in general, and to me you're paying for the location. If you want to sleep late, ask for a room on the highest floor. I could hear the cleaning staff moving things and cleaning early in the morning, as well as people walking in the room above. Still, it's a nice place overall.

The reception team is always easy to communicate with, helpful, friendly, and professional. That's a big part of why we return to Hotel Monceau every year for our holidays. It feels like a second home, and the location makes getting around easy, with everything close by. A comfortable, stress-free Paris stay, highly recommended.

We spent a week here with the family, and our rooms were close to each other, which made for a cozy, comfortable stay. The rooms were cleaned every day, and there was cold water in the fridge. We also appreciated the roomy safe, big enough for a computer. Breakfast was delightful, with plenty of choices and fresh fruit each day. The laundry service was done the same day, and we were very satisfied with it. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
