The workers were very friendly and quick to bring the daily breakfast 🥖. The rooms were quite small, but the beds were comfortable. It's near a subway station, though a bit farther from the attractions.

The neighborhood was the highlight for me. It feels like a real local area, with cafés, groceries and the metro close by, and breakfast is full of parents and regulars rather than tourists. The hotel itself is a good budget option in an old building, and the staff were kind and accommodating when they took us in at short notice. Our lower-floor room was very basic, though the firm bed was comfortable enough. The pillows were unbelievably flat, hard and lumpy, and we nearly went to Monoprix to buy replacements. The duvet covers also had a strange synthetic feel and clung to our legs. The bathroom was clean except for mold in the high grout lines. Better ventilation might help with humidity, and a stool could help the cleaners reach those spots. I’d stay again, but bring my own pillows.

The Hôtel Nadaud felt like staying in someone’s home. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were warm and helpful, and everything was clean. My room on the sixth floor had a lovely view, including the Eiffel Tower at night. It was on the small side, but comfortable. My boyfriend joined me for a couple of days, and we managed fine even with my two big suitcases. There’s an elevator, a welcome thing in an older building, and I liked that the renovations kept details like the original wooden floors. The hotel is very reasonably priced by Paris standards, with cafés, bakeries and shops nearby. Belleville is just around the corner, and I felt safe walking around at different times, including in the evening. The metro is about two minutes away, though it was under construction for a few days. That wasn’t a problem because there’s a bus stop right there, and Père Lachaise metro is also close. I walked to and from it in about 15-20 minutes, including at night, without any trouble. Père Lachaise Cemetery is right nearby and worth seeing for its beautiful grounds and history, including the graves of famous people like Jim Morrison of The Doors. I spent 10 days here and would happily come back.

We both felt right at home here, thanks to the welcoming staff. The place was super clean, which I really appreciated, and breakfast brought to the bed made for such a relaxing start to the day. I could see the Eiffel from our room too. My husband and I had a great stay, and I’d come back next time I’m in Paris.

The room was small, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. The towels and pillow seemed a bit old. Staff were nice, and the neighborhood was quiet. There’s no air-conditioning, only a fan, since it’s an eco-friendly hotel, though the cool rainy weather helped during our stay. It’s a budget-friendly option outside the city center, close to Gare du Nord and a short walk from Père Lachaise Cemetery. If you’re fine with a longer metro ride and mainly need somewhere to sleep, it’s good value.
