We finally left a day early after too many problems. The apartment was in poor shape and didn’t match the description, with lots of broken things. The front door lock’s batteries needed recharging, so we had to deal with getting the door to open and lock. There was also a huge crack across the mirror behind the cooking area. When I raised it, the host assured me it was perfectly safe and offered about £28 as a goodwill gesture, enough for a bottle of champagne or a taxi. That was the last straw for me.

The apartment was smaller than I expected, and neither Netflix nor Prime worked. Every film and series just showed a black screen. For a short visit, I’d say it’s suitable for one or two people.

It was our first time using an Airbnb, and this apartment was easy to get to and well placed for what we wanted to do. It had the equipment we needed. Better sound insulation would have made it perfect.
