Nice Studio for 2 Near Louvre and Opera Brand New!

My wife and I paid in full upfront for a week, but we couldn’t use the stay because of a health concern. The location is good, but as soon as we entered the room, my wife had a severe allergic reaction to dust in the carpet and struggled to breathe. We asked for a room without carpet or another solution, but the staff said all rooms were identical and wouldn’t help us find other accommodation. We had to find and pay for another nearby hotel ourselves. Management refused a refund under its “non-refundable” policy, even though this was a health and safety issue. They blamed us and said we should have seen the carpet in the website photos before booking. The assistant manager said they wash the carpets every two months, as though that were an adequate cleanliness standard. For someone with allergies, that’s incredibly poor hygiene. We effectively paid for a week we couldn’t stay because of the health risk. I feel completely let down by the lack of empathy and basic cleanliness. Avoid this place if respiratory health matters to you.

It was a really nice place to rest. The room was clean, with a roomy bathroom and even a bathtub, and there was air conditioning too. The location was nice. Staff were thoughtful and carried our bags to the room themselves. Each day there was a cute baked good in the foyer, plus complimentary coffee, iced tea, and water.

The customer service was terrible. I booked almost a year in advance, then plans changed six months before arrival. They wouldn’t even give me credit toward a future booking. I really don’t recommend this hotel because of its poor service and policies.

I liked having until noon to check out, and the room stayed quiet with curtains that shut out all the light. The bed was really comfortable, too, with four nice pillows. It’s a small room and could feel tight for two, plus there’s an outlet on only one side of the bed. The sink in room 105 drains slowly, the towels could use an upgrade, and the toilet is oddly low. Still, the room was clean and had what I needed. Reception staff were lovely, and there’s a modern elevator, a coffee machine at reception, and a kettle, instant coffee, mugs, glasses, bottled water, free drinks in the mini fridge, and a thermostat.
