Novotel Paris Centre Gare Montparnasse

The rooms are generously sized and comfortable, a real plus in Paris, and the hotel is in good shape overall. Staff were attentive, and the windows kept things reasonably quiet on a calm street, though soundproofing isn't perfect. You may be able to hear or talk with neighbors through the bathroom wall. In my first room, the bathtub screen had loose screws and looked ready to fall, and there was mold throughout the bathroom. My second room was in much better condition. The advertised fountains with still, cold, and sparkling water weren't fully working: the cold and sparkling dispensers were out of order. There were only paper cups in the room.

Nove made the whole stay run smoothly, from our first interaction to the last. She was consistently friendly, quick, and genuinely helpful, and handled every request professionally and with a great attitude. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. My wife and I are especially grateful for her service. She represents the hotel so well.

The location worked out really well, and my first visit to Paris turned into the special, memorable trip I hoped for. I felt welcome from check-in, where the receptionist was very sweet, through to the lovely bar staff. My room was cozy and beautiful, and breakfast had lots of tasty choices. I had a great stay and would recommend it to friends and family visiting Paris.

The team helped me sort out transportation questions, lent me an umbrella, and even mailed something for me. Great customer service. I also liked the good food, the Rituals bath products, and the dispenser offering three kinds of water without plastic bottles. The location was handy for walking to the train, metro, and a store.
