They demanded more money even though everything had been paid and the invoice clearly showed that. They also charged an €80 deposit that wasn’t mentioned in the hotel rules. The reception staff mocked guests and spoke to them disrespectfully. The rudeness and lack of professionalism made this the worst hotel experience of my life. I’d strongly advise people to stay away.

Bad weather cancelled flights and trains across Northern Europe in the first week of January 2026, so I had to rebook my whole trip. My hotels in Amsterdam and Milan understood it was beyond my control and moved my bookings to later dates. The Palym was the only hotel that refused. I felt they were rude and obstinate, and chose to exploit the situation and keep the €114. No integrity. In response to the hotel: thank you for replying. To clarify, I didn’t end the conversation with your front desk person. He told me to contact Booking.com, which I did. They said waiving the fee was at the hotel’s discretion. It is what it is.

We needed a place for one night before catching a train at Gare de Lyon, and the location worked really well. Room #34 was very clean and bright, with a king-sized bed and a very compact bathroom containing a shower, toilet, hand basin and electric towel rail. There’s a 24-hour front desk, and breakfast is available for an extra charge, but we left too early to try it.

Just across the street from Gare de Lyon, so getting to the station was easy. This is a charming little hotel, with clean, stylish, comfortable rooms. The staff were very helpful and polite, and we enjoyed the morning breakfast. Recommended.
