The location is hard to beat. It’s away from Paris’s most touristy spots, so you get a nice feel for local people and places. There are fantastic places to eat almost everywhere you look, and the Metro is a stone’s throw away. The staff were polite and gave us room to come and go with 24/7 access. We did have a slightly dodgy shower head that wouldn’t quite stay up, and one power socket didn’t work. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next time we’re in Paris.

This was my second stay, and I’m delighted to say it was even better than the first. Frendo looked after me brilliantly from the moment I arrived. After a long day travelling, I really appreciated the room upgrade and early check-in he offered. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality that makes you feel valued as a returning guest. I’m grateful for the thoughtful service and lovely room, and I’ll certainly come back for a third visit.

The room was large, very clean, and well cared for, with a fabulous view of Sacre Coeur. There was a fridge, but no tea or coffee making facilities. The wardrobe space was good, though drawers would have been useful. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful.

My partner and I both have sleep apnea, and the hotel wouldn’t provide a small table or any flat surface, such as a stool or bench, for our breathing machines. I asked again later and got the same response from a different staff member. This shouldn’t be a big ask for a common disability, especially when a surface about the size of the small machines would do. Other hotels have found a way, sometimes by lending furniture from the breakfast room or using a decorative piece. Online photos even show tables in some rooms, including the one I booked. I travel for work 5-10 times a year across the EU and US and have never had this problem when it could be worked out. The shower holder in our room was broken too. We booked in May and didn’t think we’d need air conditioning. I’m used to summer stays without AC, but this room or hotel was particularly hot during the heat wave. I collapsed after making it 800m down the street after the night there, and the ambulance gave me quite a tour of Paris. I ended up in hospital the next morning with heat exhaustion and dehydration. The hotel still refused a refund for the rest of our stay. I’ll be contacting my credit card company and legal insurance about it. I’m reasonably fit and compete in amateur sports in several disciplines. Others say this hotel gets rough in summer, and I’d believe them. Book somewhere else in summer or winter. There are much nicer, more modern rooms with better amenities and staff within 50-100m. One option is Maison Axel Opera Paris. The review is updated after the team’s reply. First, under Loi n° 2005-102 du 11 février 2005, I understand that a hotel with a certain number of rooms must have some form of accommodation for people with disabilities. Second, I asked only for a small bedside table or flat surface, not full accommodation for a large percentage disability. Lots of people have sleep apnea and may book expecting basic accommodation. Third, once I saw the room didn’t match the photos and no reasonable accommodation could be made, I asked not to stay even one night. They refused. Fourth, I agree the heat wave was exceptional, which is why I hadn’t considered AC when booking. The room was still unusually hot for me. I appreciate the reply making clear that you “refuse to accommodate.” You should put that proudly on your T-shirts and website. That adds information to my case, so thank you. Back to the original review: I can’t recommend anyone book this hotel. After I saw the room, they wouldn’t let us leave without staying a night.

The metro nearby made getting around Paris really easy, and the lobby tea and coffee were a nice touch. We stayed for 10 days, and the front desk staff were friendly and helped us figure out the city. There was a problem with our bathroom door, but it didn’t spoil the stay. I’d gladly recommend the hotel.
