Port-royal Residence - Charming Studio - 2P

The broken door lock was the worst part of my stay. I arrived exhausted and couldn’t get into my room. With my phone almost dead, I stood in the hallway trying over and over to reach staff. They eventually replied on WhatsApp that the previous guest had broken the lock and it hadn’t been fixed. They knew about the problem but hadn’t told us or offered any backup plan. It took a long time and many messages before I could get in, and there was no apology or compensation. I was put in a basement room at Jardin du Luxembourg. The window opened onto the pavement, so footsteps, suitcase wheels, and traffic came right in. The curtains were faulty and didn’t block any light, which made sleeping difficult. The lack of maintenance and slow communication made this a miserable experience. A place offering serviced apartments should be able to provide the basics. Be careful choosing it, or avoid it. Paris has much better options. The name “Jardin du Luxembourg” shouldn’t fool you.

We loved how clean and well designed the accommodation was, and the location made it a great base for a few days in Paris. We’ll definitely come back.
