Prince Albert Lyon Bercy

The decor is attractive, but practical things have been overlooked. Our room at Hôtel Prince Albert Lyon Bercy was small, and during our week there my wife and I found the closet space inadequate. There was nowhere to hang a wet coat after coming back in the rain. The bathroom had only two hooks instead of towel drying racks, so our towels stayed damp. We ended up putting them on the floor to get fresh ones every day, which worked against the hotel’s sustainability efforts. We also heard a loud neighbor’s phone conversation almost clearly for a couple of nights, so the soundproofing could be better. Breakfast was basic, and the coffee wasn’t worth mentioning. A small café on rue de Charenton or any Brasserie would be a better choice. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

My room was compact but well arranged, clean, and cozy, with a comfortable bed. The only issue I noticed was that the sink drained a little slowly. I still enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, and the reception staff were welcoming and friendly, which made check-in pleasant.

The rooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Space is really tight, though they do have larger rooms, and the staff are friendly. It’s near two main lines, and I felt safe getting back late.

The rooms are modern and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were three people in one room, which was a tight squeeze. The room also wasn’t very clean. I could see dust on the surfaces, and since I’m allergic, it bothered me a bit. The location right by the Gare du Lyon was great.
