Résidence des Halles – Apparthotel

The room was a bit tight for four, but it was comfortable enough, and the receptionist carried our bags upstairs since there’s no elevator. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a roomy fridge, microwave, and coffee supplies. We also came back each day to fresh towels and a tidy room. The location is hard to beat: right by Chatelet les Halles station, with connections to the airport and Disney, plus Westfield Forum, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and nightlife nearby. It’s still tucked away on a quiet little street.

My family and I booked a room two weeks ahead, then got an email cancelling it the morning we were due to fly to Paris. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’d never choose this hotel for a vacation or anything else.

There seem to be a lot of last-minute booking cancellations here. Check Tripadvisor and you’ll find plenty of awful accounts from people whose reservations were cancelled shortly before their stay.

The room was nicely finished and comfortable. Finding the place was tricky, and the narrow staircase up five floors is awkward to manage.
