Hôtel du Pré

The staff were friendly and it’s a good spot, but my room was dusty and didn’t seem to have been cleaned properly. I kept sneezing while I was there. There was only instant coffee, and the room had paper cups but no slippers.

The staff were lovely, warm, and very accommodating, and the bed was comfortable. It’s a simple, traditional hotel, with old-style bathrooms, and everything was clean. We had a great stay and the location near Gare du Nord was just right for exploring the city. Good value for a basic stay, and I’d come back.

The lift was a bit noisy at night, and the decor felt somewhat dated, though we found it charming. Breakfast was simple but there was plenty of it. The jams were delicious, and they had almond milk, but no dairy-free butter for vegans. For the price, it’s a lovely little hotel. The rooms were comfortable and roomy enough. We could cool things down by opening the window, and there were duvets, quilts, and extra pillows, so we weren’t worried about getting cold.

We were there after Christmas and found the hotel clean, welcoming, and well placed. The staff were kind and gave us useful tips for staying safe while travelling around Paris.
