There was no reception or anything, and no email with the instructions we needed to get in. I’ve heard this happens to guests regularly. We spent an hour and a half trying to enter the room at night. The room was tiny, the floor was dirty, and the window wouldn’t open in 35-degree heat.

The common areas were dirty and run-down, and the apartment was in a terrible state. The photos and description were misleading. Avoid this residence. There’s no reception. I got nowhere when I called their Checkmyguest service. Inside, the paint was peeling badly, the walls were damaged, there were signs of damp and mold, and the furniture and countertops were damaged. The so-called second bedroom is a mezzanine with just a mattress on the floor and not enough room to stand. The room lighting runs on a timer, using about seven minutes of electricity each time you press the switch. They didn’t provide towels.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I waited four hours and still couldn’t get in. Nobody answered my calls or replied to my emails. It felt practically like a scam. They ruined my stay in France. I couldn’t do anything because I was worried about having somewhere to sleep.
